Confused by all the diet advice out there? This class breaks down today’s most popular diet trends—including Keto, Intermittent Fasting, Eating Your Macros, Clean Eating, Macrobiotics, the Mediterranean Diet, and more—so you can make informed choices based on science, not hype.

We’ll explore:

  • What each diet involves and who it’s designed for
  • The latest scientific research behind each approach
  • Common myths, misunderstandings, and marketing claims
  • Pros, cons, and potential health impacts

Whether you're curious about changing your eating habits or just want to separate fact from fiction, this class will give you a balanced, evidence-based understanding of how these diets work—and whether they’re right for you. No judgment, just clarity.

Tara Graham holds a BFA in Graphic Design and is a highly credentialed holistic health practitioner with over 20 years of teaching experience in yoga, mindfulness, and nutrition. She is a 500-hour Certified Yoga Teacher through the Himalayan Institute, where she also completed her 200-hour foundational training. Tara is a Certified Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist (200-hour AYS) recognized by the National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA), and a Certified Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. She is board certified by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP) as a Holistic Health Practitioner.

Her additional certifications include Yin Yoga (Yoga International), MELT Method Instruction (Longevity Fitness Inc.), and MindBody Therapy (Embodied Philosophy). Tara offers public classes, workshops, and private wellness services, including health counseling, holistic education, somatic therapy, and behavior modification coaching. Body Awareness – Deepening Connection Through Body Scans is a workshop hosted by DaVona Pacley of Flow Freely in Erie, PA. Flow Freely is a holistic wellness business offer doula support, Reiki energy healing, and meditation services. This restorative class is an invitation to slow down, turn inward, and build a deeper connection with your body through the gentle practice of body scans. Often, we move through our days disconnected from our physical selves—this session offers a powerful way to return to your body with presence, curiosity, and compassion. *Students are encouraged to bring yoga mats to sit on; chairs will also be provided alternatively. No experience necessary.

This is one of four workshops hosted by DaVona Pacley of Flow Freely in Erie, PA, at the Corry Hi-Ed. Interested participants can sign up for individual classes at $25 each or sign up for the whole series (4 classes) for $75. Drawing with Colored Pencils

From the instructor, Tami Hritzay: Colored Pencils are an interesting medium. Whether you want to draw realistically or abstract, all you need to learn is how to layer colors. This workshop will uncover the useful techniques you can use to create realistic plants and show the texture of animal fur. During the workshop, students will get the opportunity to use professional colored pencils and erasers provided by the instructor. *Students will need bring their own colored pencils to use, but the instructor will be providing paper.

The workshop takes place on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at the Corry Higher Education Council from 5p-7:30p. The cost to register is $40. Preregistration is required by calling the Corry Hi-Ed at 814-664-9405 or visiting the website at www.corryhied.org.

Tami Hritzay is a mixed media artist and art teacher. She graduated with a B.S. degree in Art Education from Edinboro University. Teaching art has lead her from the Navajo Reservation to Chautauqua Institute in NY. Her students include kids from around the world, doctors, lawyers, retired judges, anyone that has an interest in improving their art. A cancer survivor of 59 years, Tami, loves life. She encourages her students to create art in the forms of drawing, painting, and sculpture. "Everyday you can walk, talk, and breathe on your own, it's a good day" is her motto. Owner/Manager Training is offered and required by the PA Liquor Control Board as part of the Responsible Alcohol Management Program (RAMP), which focuses on those individuals most responsible for determining daily operations and policies of the licensed establishment — the owner and manager.  Complete training requirements and licensing information can be found on lcb.pa.gov. This local training session will be offered on Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 8:45 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Corry Higher Education Council. All sessions are free and require registration on the PLCB website at https://www.lcb.pa.gov
