This craft has taken over the Internet, and this is the opportunity to join in on the fun. Participants will enjoy making a bag charm with an initial on it for the class. In this two-hour workshop, students who have already completed Podcasting 101 (or have equivalent basic experience) will build on their foundational skills to create professional-quality podcasts that stand out and grow an audience. You’ll dive deeper into post-production, audience engagement, and long-term success strategies while continuing to produce hands-on content.

Required materials: students need to bring in their personal laptops, microphones and web cam (laptops with built in cameras and microphones are preferred).

On Thursday, November 5th, John Seitz returns to Corry for another book reading and signing.  John, the author of last year’s successful memoir, Corry Stories, will be reading selections from his new book: Everyday People, Ordinary Places.

The collection of more than fifty true stories illuminates just how special everyday people are and how interesting ordinary places can be. From a little boy marching in a parade with his fireman father, to the hidden history of a common lunchbox; ever present are the positive themes of kindness and love.

Everyone has stories that document just how interestingly they are living their lives. Come to the early evening reading and, as you encounter John’s stories, you’ll be encouraged to recall and relate some of your own.  Stories go better with some sweets. A selection of cookies and brownies will appear.

The event is a collaboration between Corry Hi-Ed and Corry Public Library. It will be held at the Corry Public Library on Thursday, November 5th from 6:30 pm to 8:00pm. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of books will be cheerfully donated to the library. This two-part introductory course is designed for individuals with little to no prior experience with Microsoft Excel. Participants will learn the fundamental skills necessary to create, edit, format, and manage spreadsheets efficiently. The class covers key features including:

-Navigating the Excel interface and understanding workbook structure

-Entering and organizing data in worksheets

-Basic formulas and functions (SUM, AVERAGE, COUNT, etc.)

-Formatting cells for readability (fonts, colors, borders, number formats)

-Using basic charts and visualizations

-Sorting and filtering data

-Saving, printing, and sharing workbooks

Through guided instruction and hands-on exercises, students will gain confidence in using Excel for everyday tasks, whether for personal use, education, or professional settings.

This presentation aims to educate about Teen Dating Violence (TDV) with an understanding of TDV, its prevalence, its impact on students' well-being and academic performance.

Meet some mysterious feathered hunters of the night! Learn whether the myths about owls are true. Staff will bring live owls to share, and you will learn about their fascinating adaptations for nighttime. A variety of teaching tools, including feathers, wings, talons, and recorded owl calls are used to support this unique learning experience.
