Nutrition Links is a free program with Penn State Extension that features healthy eating tips covering smart shopping, food preparation, and delicious recipes. Topics include portion sizes, moving more, smart drink choices, meal planning, shopping on a budget, adding fruits and vegetables and safe food preparation. Participants will receive a certificate of completion for attending all six sessions. This free six-session, in-person course will be offered on Mondays starting February 23, 2026, through Monday, March 30, 2026, from 5:30pm – 7:00pm at the Corry Higher Education Council. **Zoom meeting option will be offered if in-person class is cancelled due to inclement weather conditions. Participants will be notified as much in advance as possible and will be emailed a link for a virtual meeting.

**To qualify to register for this program, you should be a parent or caregiver of a child 19 years or under who qualifies for free or reduced school lunch, WIC and/or SNAP Benefits or an independent adult age 25 and under who qualifies for SNAP Benefits and/or Food Pantry Boxes/Bags.

Embracing Neurodiversity in the Workplace

Presented by the Autism Society of Northwestern PA, Executive Director Tish Barlett offers an informative and insightful training session. This session is designed to highlight the immense value of integrating individuals with Autism into professional teams. Participants will gain an understanding of key autism spectrum traits, learning how to recognize and appreciate diverse talents and perspectives. This training offers practical guidance on creating an inclusive environment that celebrates neurodiversity, fostering innovation, and enhancing teamwork by unlocking the often-overlooked potential within employees on the spectrum. Join us to discover how embracing neurodiversity can transform your workplace culture and drive meaningful success.

CPR & First Aid Certification Training

Certified instructor Melissa Turben will lead an upcoming training for CPR & First Aid certification through the Emergency Care & Safety Institute.  Topics to be covered will include causes of heart attacks and strokes with necessary First Aid, diabetic emergencies, seizures, and heat/cold emergencies. AED and community Hands-Only CPR training will be provided, with mouth-to-mouth CPR to be discussed. Training and certifications meet job-related requirements as defined by regulatory authorities such as OSHA, The Joint Commission, and state offices of EMS, Education, Transportation, and Health. CPR & First Aid Certification Training will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, from 4p-8p at the Corry High School Career & Technology Center.  The cost is $50. A CPR/First Aid pocket field guide will be included in the cost of the class.  Participants must be at least age 15 and be accompanied by an adult if under 18. Seating is limited.
