Mid-Year OSHA Regulatory Update

This Mid-Year outreach workshop with OSHA Compliance Assistance Specialist Mark Harmon, will provide the most recent OSHA issues of the year. This would include the most recent OSHA Regulatory Agenda as we have some information to pass along to the OSHA stakeholders. The presentation will conclude with a Q&A segment. The target audience will include safety professionals, HR Managers, or anyone conducting business in the private sector regulated by OSHA. Dining with Diabetes

Presented by Penn State Extension, Dining with Diabetes is a program for adults with type 2 diabetes or prediabetes and their families. These classes will help you understand some of the most important things you need to know about managing your diabetes.
Trained Penn State Extension educators will lead discussions addressing:
-Important numbers you need to know and physical activity recommendations
-Meal planning and carbohydrate counting
-Healthy cooking with less fat and sodium
-Medications, monitoring, and goal setting
-How to eat wisely while dining out
Each class offers discussions regarding vital information to help you manage your diabetes, food demonstrations, and physical activity suggestions. In addition to program booklets, participants will receive the Dining with Diabetes cookbook and course handouts. You will learn important health and nutrition information for those with type 2 diabetes, how to prevent & manage type 2 diabetes, how to plan and prep healthy meals, and the benefits of being active.
If you have been told that you have type 2 diabetes or prediabetes, you will want to attend this class! Space is limited – preregistration required! The course will be held 4 consecutive Mondays starting Monday, April 7 through Monday, April 28, 2025, from 4p-6p at the Corry Higher Education Council. ServSafe - Food Safety Training

The ServSafe Food Safety program is for individuals who are serving as managers or are in a supervisory role requiring certification. Upon successful completion, participants will receive the ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certificate. This training meets the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture requirements for the Food Employee Certification Act. This program will be offered on two consecutive Mondays, April 21 & 28, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., and November 6 from 8:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.; a lunch break will be provided. Participants will sit for their certification examination on Day 2, between 11 a.m. and noon. The cost is $165, which includes the study book and examination fee.
