The Inspection Regulations and Procedures course with instructor Eric McCray will prepare you to take the test required for certification as an official Vehicle Safety Inspection Mechanic in PA.  The Tools Course is designed to prepare students for the tactile, hands-on portion of the licensing process.  This course will be held in the automotive technology center of the Corry Area Career & Technology Center.  Must be 18, have a valid driver’s license and a mechanical background. Five sessions will be held October 21 (Mon), 22 (Tues), and 24 (Thurs), from 4:30-8:30 p.m., and October 28 (Mon) & 29 (Tues) from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Certification categories are cars/light trucks, motorcycles, and heavy trucks.  The cost is $255 for one inspection category, $295 for two inspection categories, and $335 for all three categories. Manual will be provided and available for pick-up prior to the start of the course. There is a required reading assignment before the first night of class. The manuals are available for pick-up at the Corry Hi-Ed, 221 N. Center Street, Corry, PA.

If you already have a valid Pennsylvania inspection license and want to add another category, this is your opportunity.  The cost for adding category I, II, or III to existing licenses is $90 for one category/$130 for two categories. The cost for adding Enhanced or Document review is $70. You will study on your own from your own manual.
