NWIRC - Resolving Workplace Conflict

$29999

with Molly Reichard

Calendar Mar 4, 2025 at 9 am

Today’s complex business dynamics and fierce global competition force organizations to continually ramp up productivity, improve quality, shorten cycle times, and reduce costs. An unfortunate, but natural, by-product is workplace conflict. Such pressures inevitably cause people with different personalities, communication styles, priorities, and values to have differences at one time or another.

Leaders can help employees accept accountability for owning and resolving their workplace conflicts by leveraging two intervention tactics: coaching and, if the conflict remains unresolved, mediating. You’ll also learn how to recognize warning signs of conflict in order to take the appropriate action.

Learning Targets:

*Content from Development Dimensions International (DDI), an international human resources and leadership development firm

The workshop is scheduled for Tuesday, March 4, 2025, from 9a-3p at the Corry Hi-Ed. The cost to register is $299 ($254 if registered by 2/5/25) and can be done at https://nwirc.org/events/resolving-workplace-conflict-corry/

For too long, childcare's profound contributions, particularly to the economy, have been underappreciated. In 2024, the JES deployed a team of experts to address the child-care crisis in Erie, Pennsylvania. Over six months, the experts provided key insights at both the local and national levels, culminating in the August report: "Positioning Erie to Prosper and Compete: Child Care School for Infants and Toddlers is Key to Future of Workforce and Economy."  Elana Como, who leads the Early Learning Resource Center in Region 1 and 2, will discuss the report's findings and explore why they are vital for residents of Corry, Pennsylvania, and the future of their workforce and economy.
