PLCB-Owner/Manager Training

Owner/Manager Training is offered and required by the PA Liquor Control Board as part of the Responsible Alcohol Management Program (RAMP), which focuses on those individuals most responsible for determining daily operations and policies of the licensed establishment — the owner and manager. Complete training requirements and licensing information can be found on lcb.pa.gov. This local training session will be offered on Thursday, May 29, 2025, from 8:45 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Corry Higher Education Council. All sessions are free and require registration on the PLCB website at https://www.lcb.pa.gov
QuickBooks - Level II

Certified CPA Jim Embrey of Kersey & Associates, PC in Warren, PA will take your basic knowledge of QuickBooks to the next level in this Level II class. After a brief review of Level I, you will be introduced to the difference between cash versus accrual basis accounting and recognizing Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. Become proficient at creating invoices, receiving payments, entering, and paying bills and sales tax. (Completion of Level I class is not a prerequisite; basic working knowledge of QuickBooks is required to register for this class.) This one-day course will be offered on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the Corry Higher Education Council. The cost is $95. Register online at www.corryhied.org or call 814-664-9405.
PA CareerLink: Resume Do's and Don'ts

Spring Mushroom Foraging

Join us as we dive into the world of wild local spring mushrooms. This class will cover some mycology basics, mushroom hunting safety, a basic overview of local edible species, and the process of identifying unknown species. This class will focus on spring and summer mushrooms. The class will start off at the Corry Hi-Ed for a presentation and discussion. After the presentation, the class will head down to Mead Park to walk around and discuss the best places to look and get a little hands-on experience hunting mushrooms. Foraging will end with an Identification table to look up and verify species that are found. The class will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, and the cost to register is $20. The class will start at the Corry Hi-Ed at 4:30p, then attendees will join the instructor at a designated location at Mead Park that will be discussed in class starting around 5:30p. The class will conclude around 6:30p at Mead Park.
