Nutrition Links
with Kayla Kennerknecht
Nutrition Links is a free program with Penn State Extension that features healthy eating tips covering smart shopping, food preparation, and delicious recipes. Topics include portion sizes, moving more, smart drink choices, meal planning, shopping on a budget, adding fruits and vegetables and safe food preparation. Participants will receive a certificate of completion for attending all six sessions. This free six-session, in-person course will be offered on Mondays starting February 23, 2026, through Monday, March 30, 2026, from 5:30pm – 7:00pm at the Corry Higher Education Council. **Zoom meeting option will be offered if in-person class is cancelled due to inclement weather conditions. Participants will be notified as much in advance as possible and will be emailed a link for a virtual meeting.
**To qualify to register for this program, you should be a parent or caregiver of a child 19 years or under who qualifies for free or reduced school lunch, WIC and/or SNAP Benefits or an independent adult age 25 and under who qualifies for SNAP Benefits and/or Food Pantry Boxes/Bags.

Discussion: Navigating the Current Political Landscape
with Jeffrey Bloodworth
Join us in another civic-directed conversation at the Corry Higher Education Council to have a non-partisan, objective discussion highlighting Executive Orders and the current political climate most impacting the nation. Dr. Jeffrey Bloodworth of Gannon University will be objectively answering questions on the meaning and implications of recent political actions. Ask questions and gain insight into the changing political landscape in a judgement-free, non-partisan space that relies on civics and facts to explain current executive orders and current political topics as they happen. If you have questions about current executive orders that you would like addressed during the discussion, please email them ahead of time to kdahl@corryhied.org.
This discussion will take place on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, from 6p – 7p at the Corry Hi-Ed, and will be a part of monthly discussions regarding executive orders and political climate. Jeff Bloodworth is a writer & professor of American political history in the School of Public Service & Global Affairs at Gannon University (Erie, PA). He has published widely on post-1960s liberalism and conservatism. He is currently midway through a biography of Speaker Carl Albert, who presided as Majority Leader during the 1960s and as Speaker during Watergate. Heartland Liberal is under contract with the University of Oklahoma Press.

Advanced Grant Writing Series - Part I: Creating & Using Logic Models

During this series of three one-hour sessions, participants will learn about planning, evaluation, and budgeting for grant proposals, as well as the ins and outs of the grant review process. Designed for staff and volunteers of nonprofits interested in learning more about writing grants, session topics are:
March 4: Creating & Using Logic Models - Session one of the three-part Advanced Grant Writing Workshop will provide an overview of logic models and how to create and use a logic model in project planning.
March 11: Evaluation & Budget Planning - Session two of the three-part Advanced Grant Writing Workshop will focus on developing meaningful evaluation strategies and tools and preparing realistic and thoughtful budgets - key pieces to any grant application.
March 18: Understanding the Grant Review Process - In this final session of the Advanced Grant Writing Workshop, participants will learn about grant review processes, include peer review and assessment rubrics.

Paint & Sip - Spring Theme

Bring your friends, favorite drinks (BYOB - alcohol permitted) and snacks, and enjoy a fun filled evening creating your very own masterpiece during a ‘paint & sip’! Students will paint a piece to enjoy for the Spring season. Instructor Martha will be there to guide you through every step. The cost to register is $30.00 and includes all supplies. PA State Inspection & Tools Course
with Eric McCray
The Inspection Regulations and Procedures course with instructor Eric McCray will prepare you to take the test required for certification as an official Vehicle Safety Inspection Mechanic in PA. The Tools Course is designed to prepare students for the tactile, written and base of the licensing process. Students will be tested in 3 areas (base, category written, and category tactile) and must receive at least score 80% in order to pass. Students will have two attempts at each portion of the test to pass. If a student fails any of the testing categories twice, they will be required to retake (and pay) the PA State Inspection and Tools course. No refunds will be issued for the first attempt at the class. Additionally, in order to receive your motorcycle inspection license, you must have a valid motorcycle license prior to class. This course will be held in the automotive technology center of the Corry Area Career & Technology Center. Must be 18, have a valid driver’s license and a mechanical background. The required five sessions will be held in 2026 on March 9 (Mon.), 10 (Tues.), and 12 (Thurs.) from 4:30-8:30 p.m. and March 16 (Mon.) and 17 (Tues.) from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Certification categories are cars/light trucks, motorcycles, and heavy trucks. The cost is $255 for one inspection category, $295 for two inspection categories, and $335 for all three categories. Retests are $40 each. Partial scholarships available. Manuals will be provided and available for pick-up prior to the start of the course. There is a required reading assignment before the first night of class. The manuals are available for pick-up at the Corry Hi-Ed, 221 N. Center Street, Corry, PA on Mon-Thurs. 8a-4:30p, and Fridays 8a-3p. If are unable to pick-up your booklet during those times, please call the Corry Hi-Ed to make different arrangements.
