Nutrition Links is a free program with Penn State Extension that features healthy eating tips covering smart shopping, food preparation, and delicious recipes. Topics include portion sizes, moving more, smart drink choices, meal planning, shopping on a budget, adding fruits and vegetables and safe food preparation. Participants will receive a certificate of completion for attending all six sessions. This free six-session, in-person course will be offered on Mondays starting February 23, 2026, through Monday, March 30, 2026, from 5:30pm – 7:00pm at the Corry Higher Education Council. **Zoom meeting option will be offered if in-person class is cancelled due to inclement weather conditions. Participants will be notified as much in advance as possible and will be emailed a link for a virtual meeting.

**To qualify to register for this program, you should be a parent or caregiver of a child 19 years or under who qualifies for free or reduced school lunch, WIC and/or SNAP Benefits or an independent adult age 25 and under who qualifies for SNAP Benefits and/or Food Pantry Boxes/Bags.

Presented by the Jefferson Educational Society, there is a new challenge occurring worldwide, but especially in the United States: Presently, our workforce has more generations working at the same time and same place in unprecedented numbers. To be a successful leader in the modern workplace, we must evaluate how to best lead a diverse, multi-generational group of people. Focusing on the things that all generations may need that are the same and what they need that may be different. In this presentation, JES Raimy Fellow Bradley Thompson will define the multi-generational workforce leadership and establish a framework to guide leaders when dealing with a variety of generations.

The NWIRC welcomes you to join this lunch & learn event, ‘AI Ready Manufacturing: Get Your Data House in Order’. This session is ideal for manufacturers who want to build a stronger data foundation and explore AI without the hype—just real strategies, real tools, and real stories.

Why Data Quality Matters More Than Ever: Before AI can deliver insights, your data needs to be trustworthy. This session will walk participants through 11 common data defects—issues that often go unnoticed but quietly undermine strategy, quality, and performance. You’ll learn how to align data types with strategic goals and how thoughtful collection and analysis can transform raw information into actionable intelligence.

AI in Action: Lessons from the Shop FloorA special guest in manufacturing to share their journey and best practices related to data and AI.

Data That Delivers: Strategy, Quality & Insight -Dive into the intersection of strategy and data quality, exploring how the right type of data—and the processes behind it—can elevate decision-making. Participants will examine 11 common defects found in both data and its collection process, then connect data types to strategic goals. The session will progress through quality assurance, thoughtful collection, synthesis, and analysis, highlighting how clean, purposeful data becomes apowerful tool for insight.

AI in Action: Pilots, Plans & Possibilities -Examples of initiatives across compliance, certifications, inspections planning, finance, tooling, and more. With projects ranging from early ideation to full-on piloting - this is an opportunity for information sharing so the group can learn from each other.

There will be a round table discussion giving the manufacturer's the opportunity to discuss what their current AI plan is and what they are doing to get their data prepared. There will also be discussion regarding assistance for technology education and implementation, including grant funding opportunities.

The 'lunch with a purpose' will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026, from 11a - 1:30p at the Corry Higher Education Council. Preregistration is required by visiting www.nwirc.org/events . There is no cost to register; lunch will be provided.

Discussion: Navigating the Current Political Landscape

Join us in another civic-directed conversation at the Corry Higher Education Council to have a non-partisan, objective discussion highlighting Executive Orders and the current political climate most impacting the nation. Dr. Jeffrey Bloodworth of Gannon University will be objectively answering questions on the meaning and implications of recent political actions. Ask questions and gain insight into the changing political landscape in a judgement-free, non-partisan space that relies on civics and facts to explain current executive orders and current political topics as they happen. If you have questions about current executive orders that you would like addressed during the discussion, please email them ahead of time to kdahl@corryhied.org

This discussion will take place on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, from 6p – 7p at the Corry Hi-Ed, and will be a part of monthly discussions regarding executive orders and political climate. Jeff Bloodworth is a writer & professor of American political history in the School of Public Service & Global Affairs at Gannon University (Erie, PA). He has published widely on post-1960s liberalism and conservatism. He is currently midway through a biography of Speaker Carl Albert, who presided as Majority Leader during the 1960s and as Speaker during Watergate. Heartland Liberal is under contract with the University of Oklahoma Press.

During this series of three one-hour sessions, participants will learn about planning, evaluation, and budgeting for grant proposals, as well as the ins and outs of the grant review process. Designed for staff and volunteers of nonprofits interested in learning more about writing grants, session topics are:

March 4: Creating & Using Logic Models - Session one of the three-part Advanced Grant Writing Workshop will provide an overview of logic models and how to create and use a logic model in project planning.

March 11: Evaluation & Budget Planning - Session two of the three-part Advanced Grant Writing Workshop will focus on developing meaningful evaluation strategies and tools and preparing realistic and thoughtful budgets - key pieces to any grant application.

March 18: Understanding the Grant Review Process - In this final session of the Advanced Grant Writing Workshop, participants will learn about grant review processes, include peer review and assessment rubrics.
