The Effects of Domestic Violence on Children and Youth
with Safe Journey
Free
Presented by Safe Journey - The Effects of Domestic Violence on Children and Youth.
Participants will learn how children are exposed to abuse, the developmental impacts across age groups, and the compounding effects of displacement and homelessness.
We will address how children interpret violence, how abusive parents may manipulate or use them, and the long-term lessons they may internalize about relationships, conflict, and self-worth.
This session will highlight proactive violence prevention strategies.
(We can offer Act 48 credits if needed as well)
The presentation will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2026, from 5p-6p at the Corry Hi-Ed. The presentation is free to attend, but registration is required by visiting www.corryhied.org or by calling 814-664-9405.
