Many organizations utilize Microsoft Excel to track and organize data but rely on a few power users to manipulate data for easier analysis and presentation. This 4-week training series will teach participants Office 365 Excel from basics through advanced levels, including how to create any function and formulas and developing and modifying Pivot Tables, in classroom format, including examples, and provide for out of classroom exercises that will reinforce learning. Participants will learn how to manipulate data to better understand and present trends and summations. Become proficient in Microsoft Excel and take your data to new levels with this step by step, guided instruction by our best instructor who uses data analysis daily.
Materials Needed: All attendees will need to bring a laptop.
Week 1: Basic Overview
- Basic terminology
- MS Excel layout and tab overview
- Creating a list
- Formatting cells
- Formatting a worksheet for printing
- Manage and edit worksheets and add new worksheets to a workbook, rename and rearrange sheets
- Inserting and formatting tables, charts, and graphs to graphically present numerical data
Week 2: Basic Formulas and Functions
- Enter text, numbers and formulas into a worksheet applying to business situations.
- Working with tables using sort and filter
- Basic formulas and functions
- Use the Excel SUM, AVERAGE, MAX, MIN, IF, and NOW functions to display desired calculations
- Create and copy formulas using relative and absolute cell references
Week 3: Advanced Functions
- Advanced Functions – VLOOKUP, SUMIF(S), AVERAGEIF(S), COUNTIF(S)
Week 4: Pivot Tables and Pivot Charts
This is a 4-day training that will be held on Wednesdays on October 2, October 16, October 30, and November 13, 2024, at the Corry Hi-Ed from 9a-12p. The cost to register is $599.00. To register, please visit www.nwirc.org/events.
