Comparing & Contrasting the World's Major Religions

A thoughtful and balanced approach to the history, beliefs, and practices of some of the world’s major religions. This will include Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Taoism, Shintoism, Buddhism, Confucianism, and Sikhism. The purpose of this eight week, bi-weekly course is not to convince or convert to one faith practice over another but instead to educate in the hopes of understanding the religious beliefs and practices of fellow human beings and instill unity among diversity.
Rev. Skip Davis is born and raised in Corry, PA. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary Education, Social Studies from Clarion State College, now West Penn Clarion University, a master’s degree in religious education from Gannon University, and a Master of Divinity Degree in Theology from Gannon University and Christ the King Seminary in East Aurora, New York. His teaching experience includes almost 20 years of teaching in the public school systems of Smethport, Tionesta, and Corry, PA.
The series will occur every other Monday starting January 20, 2025, through Monday, April 28, 2025, from 6p-7:30p at the Corry Higher Education Council.
